Sarah Wilkin
Founder, CEO and consultant
Sarah Wilkin is the founder and CEO of Fly Green Alliance (FGA) and a pioneer in sustainable aviation fuel (SAF). In 2018, she secured a Booking.com sustainable travel grant alongside the University of Amsterdam to advance SAF research and market development. She created the first independent SAF alliance and has spoken on over 50 industry panels. With 15 years’ experience in advertising, digital, market research, and data, she now focuses on carbon reduction in travel and transport. Sarah is an inventor of a key SAF mechanism, a consultant in ESG and sustainable aviation, a Horizon Europe grants director, contributing to national net zero aviation plans. She also represents aviation in the World Nuclear Association end-user working group.

Dr Graeme Heyes (Phd)
Consultant – FGA & Litmus Sustainability
Graeme is a UK Design Council “Design Expert” for his work in sustainable innovation. He has previously led internationally award winning programmes for the uptake and commercialisation of CleanTech solutions, including biofuels, and he has worked with global aviation stakeholders including major airports, airlines and industry bodies, including providing training globally for Airports Council International.
Graeme and Sarah have been working together on Horizon Europe and Innovate UK grants, and aviation bids especially in sustainable aviation and SAF.

Dr Shiju Raveendran
Scientific Advisor
Scientific Advisor/Professor of Chemical Engineering at University of Amsterdam. Dr Raveendran is a Chemical Engineer and catalyst specialist and published inventor.
Sarah Wilkin and Dr Raveendran were the original team granted by booking.com. The booking.com grant enabled Fly Green Alliance to be formed and the market development work to begin in 2019.
Shiju continues to be a scientific advisor to FGA, and Sarah supports Shiju and University of Amsterdam to search for grants and commercial opportunities.

Heather Wray (Phd)
Original Advisor
Heather was also awarded a Booking.com grant in 2019 and is now at TNO, the knowledge centre of the Netherlands, working as a scientist, project manager, and Team Lead in the Bio-based and Circular Technologies group. She has been an advisor to Sarah and FGA since the start and is a highly respected sustainability professional and writer within the field. Read more about Heather’s experience on linkedIn.

FGA recently worked with other consultants to create a proposal for Horizon Europe. FGA built the consortium, expert committee and was coordinator. These services are available for your business at an hourly rate or day rate.

As part of Sarah’s and Fly Green Alliance’s commitment to developing the future workforce and bringing diversity and younger people into the aviation and energy industry, Sarah has also worked with 60+ student, grads and career switchers to support their thesis development and careers who have gone on to work at European Commission, Q8 Aviation and other interesting roles within travel, energy or aviation. Fly Green Alliance represents 15 members through FGA’s program “In the loop” – FGA keeps their members in the loop on various topics and advocates for decarbonisation agendas that FGA feels is relevant and crucial to energy transition progress.
