We’ve been working hard to make change, to innovate, to stimulate and develop new markets for sustainable fuels including SAF/ renewable aviation fuel, biodiesels, electric vehicles and now nuclear. Our thought leadership is encouraging new business models, fossil free solutions, behavioural change and new low carbon ways of operating at B2B level. We have developed grants, proposals, contributed to industry working groups, invented mechanisms, given expert advisory to business leaders, spoken at events and made a net zero program to rollout commitments at corporate level. With University of Amsterdam, founder of Fly Green Alliance, Sarah Wilkin, was granted to develop a SAF project and the market in 2018 which led to setting up Fly Green Alliance in 2019.

Fly Green Alliance co-hosted a webinar for the aviation sector with Arts Fuels Forum, during the pandemic to encourage SAF use as part of a build-back-better campaign for airlines recovery.

Sarah Wilkin, presented to lawyers at European Air Law Summit, Copenhagen, about sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) and the potential to contract this into leases for future finance for SAF.

Fly Green Alliance have contributed to Wales’ Net Zero 2035 plan as aviation experts.

Fly Green Alliance is part for the World Nuclear Association end-user group representing aviation as an end user for nuclear energy for eFuels. Read the slides presented June 2024 at the 2nd end-user meeting Paris, alongside Google and Dow Chemical.

Fly Green Alliance created a UN supported SAF mechanism report.

Fly Green Alliance joined an innovation challenge at Royal Air Maroc in 2021.

Fly Green Alliance developed a documentary supporting SAF investment called The Golden Bullet, supported by the industry including the US Department of Energy.

Fly Green Alliance developed the first SAF alliance, and now has opened it’s membership and created a net zero, second party assured, framework.

Fly Green Alliance are supported by and discussed as market makers and business model disrupters by Innovate UK Business Growth.

Sarah Wilkin and FGA have spoken at over 45+ events since Fly Green Alliance started, to bring awareness, debate and thought leadership on renewable aviation fuel (SAF) and carbon reduction within travel and transport.
