Fly Green Alliance and Sarah Wilkin selected from 100 to join a JPMorganChase’s dragons den

Sarah Wilkin was successfully selected out of 100 applicants to join a group of female founders this Summer in London, who have been provided expert advice on pitching for investment, and guidance from Innovate UK’s Newable and from JPMorganChase Executives all working in Private Banking and Wealth Management. All groups promoting and supporting more investment going to female led businesses.

Sarah Wilkin has already been given an Innovate UK grant this Summer to develop FGA’s work further. This achievement along with a strong team and approach will be pitched to anonymous markers who are JPMorganChase Executive volunteers. Each founder with be marked on 3 levels which is also aimed at sharpening the founders pitching skills for future VC or angel funding. A real life dragons den for the first time for all the founders.

FGA have also developed a membership to develop cross sector knowledge exchange and to leverage business development and co-investment and scale up opportunities for non-fossil jet fuel (SAF), hydrogen and nuclear. The FGA membership compliments the work developing, and brings together FGA’s years of relationship and network building across the energy and travel industry. Sarah has worked with airlines, fuel producers, travel management companies, sports groups, insurers and more as an expert SAF and sustainable aviation consultant. Through Fly Green Alliance her mission is to displace the jet fuel market for climate targets, and to keep travel accessible and affordable.

Being selected is a good milestone for FGA and myself, the foundations of our work are well established with us going into our 6th year. Now it’s time to take the business to the next stage. It’s been tough going with unexpected obstacles but when the work comes to fruition and opportunities like the JPMorgan one arise it feels good to know the hard work is being seen, it’s being effective and accelerated which is urgently needed. It shows progress all round. I’m really looking forward to FGA’s next steps.
